BBC America Contest, and Wonder Woman Progress

I’m sad and tired and don’t know what else to do but keep myself busy with everything else. So..
I’m one of the finalists in the BBC America costume contest… there are a lot of really great entries, I’m really stoked to be among them. If you want to vote, click the link 🙂

Here’s some of the pics we took the other day.

And some progress…
Making my boot covers

These boots were TERRIBLE for using for boot covers but I pushed ahead.I laid a boot out on my fabric and cut two layers of my spandex for the cover.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Cutting out the shape

The boot cover sewn up the front

Here's my basic boot cover. Sewn up the front. Next up, I'll make the white stripe for the front and get that attached before I sew up the back.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Pattern for the stripe

Stripe finished and pinned on

After I got my basic boot shape, I made a separate piece of out white knit and attached it for the stripe.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Marking the cut for the zipper opening

After I got the basic boot cover on over the boot, I used chalk to mark where the zipper is. Next I'll cut the opening, and attached the cover along the edges of the zipper.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

At that point I realised I hadn’t done the stripe around the top, and I wasn’t happy with the point at the top of my white stripe, so I took the stripe off. I’d already sewn the top of the boot cover to the boot, and the edges of the zipper opening down, so I just glued the new stripe on (after sewing the white stripe around the top.)
Finished boot:

Finished a boot. Now I have to do the other one.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

The edge at the toe ended up a little funky but not gonna worry about it.

Didn’t take any pics of what I worked on tonight. I finished the other boot and got my bottoms put together and finished.
Tomorrow night finishing an Ood.
